The Famous E-Type builder Eagle announced their third and last recreation model, the Spyder GT.
The new Eagle Spyder GT completes the trilogy of the bespoke Jaguar E-Type models the British builder started with the Speedster.
Unlike the Speedster, the Spyder GT offers a folding fabric roof in order to allow the owner to continue driving his car whatever the weather. Eagle says that their new model combines the “poise and performance of the Low Drag GT and the exquisite styling of the Speedster”, offering the best of both worlds.
Eagle has been praised many times by the press for their stunning recreations. The company has been specializing in restoring back to perfection E-Types for the past three decades, with the Speedster, Low Drag GT and Spyder GT to also include aesthetic and performance gains.
All the bodywork is now made out of aluminium for lightness while customers can opt for Eagle’s very vocal straight-six 4.7-litre engine which makes 345hp and 360lb.ft of torque. Each car is completely tailored to the customer’s needs but that is expected from an automobile that costs around £700k ($1 million).
The first Eagle Spyder GT will be delivered to its owner during this summer, with the company perhaps building other five units in total, making them not only incredibly beautiful but also rare as rubies.
